Prague

In June of 2010, I met my friend Nora in Paris after the conclusion of the study abroad program she'd been on.  From Paris we went to Prague, Vienna, Munich, and finally Venice, spending two nights in each.  One common theme that emerges from the descriptions of our time in each city is my failure at navigating, which, if you know me, won't be surprising.  The other is my weariness of travel, which I do find surprising, because (obviously, since this site exists) travel is something that I really love.

By the end of this trip, though, I'd decided that we'd tried to cram too much into too short a time; it would have been better if we'd gone to three (or four, at most) different places, spending more time in each and thus feeling more relaxed and limiting the time and stress of actual travel (transportation issues/worries are also something that comes up multiple times).  I was tired of cities by the end as well, so throwing in a smaller town might have been a good idea too.  However, it was still a good trip, and I'm glad I got to go everywhere that I did.  It helped that Venice was my favorite place that I visited, and that we took it slower there, which cause the trip to end on the perfect note.
